Alex Fronduto, DHS, M.Ed., is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Graduate School of Education at Northeastern University, where he serves as the academic lead for the M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration program and as the Graduate School of Education’s Lead for Strategic Engagement. In these roles, he oversees curriculum, faculty coordination, and the student experience while also leading initiatives focused on enrollment strategy, alumni engagement, and large-scale academic and professional events across Northeastern’s global campus network. He also chairs and second-reads dissertations in the Doctor of Education (EdD) program.
Dr. Fronduto brings more than a decade of professional experience in enrollment management, admissions leadership, faculty supervision, and academic program design. Prior to joining the faculty full-time, he held progressively senior leadership roles in admissions and enrollment management at a private university, where he oversaw recruitment strategy, event operations, data-informed enrollment initiatives, and multi-campus visit programs serving diverse student populations.
His research and professional interests focus on strategic enrollment management, supervision practices in higher education, and the integration of experiential learning in online graduate programs. He is currently under contract with Wiley/Jossey-Bass to co-author the second edition of the Handbook of Strategic Enrollment Management, one of the foundational texts in the field, with much of his recent scholarly work dedicated to research development and manuscript preparation for the forthcoming volume. His scholarship has also been published in College & University and Strategic Enrollment Management Quarterly.
Dr. Fronduto presents regularly at national and regional conferences hosted by the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO), the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), and the New England Association for College Admission Counseling (NEACAC). He serves on the Editorial Board of College & University journal and is the host of AACRAO’s Admit It podcast, where he explores emerging issues in enrollment management, leadership, and student access.
He is also the founder and CEO of the Higher Education Networking Collective, a nonprofit professional organization dedicated to breaking down institutional silos and fostering cross-functional collaboration among higher education professionals.
